Sky News unveils new look and logo

LONDON - Sky News has unveiled a new logo and on-air design as part of an overall visual revamp aimed at highlighting the brand's priority to deliver rolling news first.

The new logo and on-air graphics are part of the second phase of a redesign at the channel, which is designed to bring the 24-hour news station "firmly into the 21st century", the company said in a statement.

The first stage, launched two weeks ago, saw changes in the studio including a seven-metre, 24-screen news wall, and a lighter, more open studio with an enlarged window showing the newsroom.

Nick Pollard, head of Sky News, said, "At a time when audiences are relying on Sky News more than ever before, we are introducing the news wall as a perfect device for combining graphics that add to our viewers' understanding of the story with pictures of rolling news".
