Sky digital media director departs

BSkyB is reviewing the role of its Sky Networked Media division following the resignation of the unit's managing director, James Baker.

Baker announced his intention to leave the satellite broadcaster at the end of last year, less than 12 months after Sky Networked Media was set up to create web, mobile and interactive TV content.

A Sky spokesman denied the division would undergo a strategic overhaul during 2007, but admitted 'some operational changes' would take place as part of its expansion across digital platforms.

It looks likely that certain elements of Sky Networked Media will come under the control of Sky's chief operating officer, Mike Darcy.
