Livfooddrink was an indoor food show focusing on entertaining and home cooking, due to be held from 5-6 May 2013. Chef Simon Rimmer was set to headline the event.
Tickets had not yet been put on sale for the show, which has been postponed and could be held next year.
Denise Harris, managing director of SK Events, said: "I am very proud of the hard work the team has put into securing support for the Livfooddrink show. However, we have taken the difficult decision to postpone the event for this year. We are currently in talks to secure future dates for the Livfooddrink show for 2014."
The show aimed to attract 10,000 people and would have complemented the Liverpool Food and Drink Festival, SK Events’s annual food event at Sefton Park.
When it was announced in November 2012, Livfooddrink was billed as an alternative to the BBC Good Food Shows in London and Birmingham. At the time, Harris told the Liverpool Echo: "At the moment, people living in the north west would need to travel to Birmingham or London to experience an indoor food drink and lifestyle show of this standard."
