In the latest ABC magazine circulation figures, covering July to December 2005, customer magazines claimed the top six places, pushing the top-selling consumer title What's on TV down from fourth to seventh.
Sky the Magazine, published by John Brown Citrus, has an average issue circulation of 6.874m copies, up 1.3% over six months, coinciding with a rise in subscribers to the pay-TV network.
Tesco Magazine from Cedar Communications has a circulation of 2.494m while Asda Magazine from Publicis Blueprint dipped 9.7% over six months to 2.377m.
New launches Prudential Magazine and Sainsbury's Fresh Ideas debuted respectively in fourth with 1.910m and in eighth with 1.432m.
Another title to release a debut ABC registration was Champions, the newsstand and subscription title from Uefa, produced by Haymarket Network. Its circulation was 28,390.
The customer publishing trade association, the Association of Publishing Agencies, said the new launches and ABC registrations indicated customer publishing's growth and increasing accountability.
Julia Hutchison, APA director, said: "Not only do the ABCs offer credibility to media buyers and third-party advertisers, they also provide independent, audited proof of a title's circulation.
"This transparency is becoming increasingly crucial given the inroads made by customer magazines, meaning that clients, planners and advertisers can validate their marketing spend on either their customer titles or third-party advertising."
