SME launched the event industry exhibition 10 years ago, but sold it to Australian exhibition organiser Exhibitions and Trade Fairs (ETF) in 2007 along with RSVP Sydney and RSVP Melbourne.
At the time of purchase SME entered into a three-year management contract to run the London show, which it extended to take on the 2011 event at the Business Design Centre in April.
SME managing director Tim Etchells told Event: "SME is a creator of shows rather than a manager. We have declined the opportunity to manage it [RSVP London] again."
It is unclear whether the show will still go ahead in 2012 under new management.
RSVP 2011 show manager John Sanders has now left SME, and is now business development manager at experiential agency 2 Heads.
