Virgin Student was selected to head up the coordination and execution of the Siemens campaign across UK campuses and online starting in September.
The brief is to raise awareness of the Siemens mobile brand while positioning Siemens handsets as a desirable lifestyle accessory.
Simon Robinson, PR and advertising manager at Siemens Mobile, said: "The student market is key to Siemens. We have some exciting new products which will appeal to this audience and we have enlisted the help of Virgin Student to work with us to develop a fun and exciting campaign."
Virgin Student business development director James Layfield said he expected the Siemens campaign to be one of the most important targeting students this year. "They have the perfect product for this market and we are really going to enjoy working on this campaign."
Virginstudent.com claims a 78% brand awareness among UK students. Previous campaigns include NHS Direct, Brylcreem and Virgin Mobile.
