Shopping centre developer opts for MarketDeveloper

LONDON - Designer shopping outlet developer McArthurGlen has acquired a hosted database system from MarketDeveloper to enable it to understand the millions of shoppers that visit its 16 sites.

McArthurGlen will use the system to store, profile and analyse details of visitors to its shopping centres, which include seven in the UK and nine in the rest of Europe, as well as people registering on its website. The sites attract up to 50m shoppers.

It plans to use the data to improve customer loyalty, increase store visits and build campaigns, including co-branded campaigns with its retail tenants such as Armani, Nike and Gap.

Lenka Jones, the UK CRM manager for McArthurGlen, said: "Not only does MarketDeveloper's solution enable us to manage both our online and offline campaigns in real time, but lets us get on with the management of campaigns and marketing programmes based on the insights we gain from that data, without the worries about how that data is managed, cleaned and updated."
