Shelter supports festival activities online

Shelter, the homelessness charity, is launching a heavyweight digital campaign to support its involvement in festivals and music events across the UK this summer.

The charity has appointed interactive strategy agency Holler to create a branded microsite to raise awareness of its presence at festivals including Glastonbury, Bestival and Wychwood.

The site, which launches in June, supports Shelter's lobbying for a government commitment to build 20,000 social homes a year.

Shelter's digital strategy for the coming year will include the launch of a 'Build a city' campaign site. Devised by Cimex, the site is intended to help the charity raise £100,000 by asking internet users to buy a virtual house on the site for £10.

In March, Shelter launched an ad campaign across CBS Outdoor's digital-screen network on the London Underground. The push, by Hooper Galton, features eight children 'trapped' within the screens.
