Shell hands customer magazine launch to Redwood

LONDON - Shell has awarded the contract to publish its new motoring magazine V-Zine to Redwood following a pitch coordinated by the Association of Publishing Agencies' Ask service.

The quarterly magazine will go to members of Shell's V-Power Club, initially in the UK, Italy and Poland, and will be launched in the summer.

It will expand into Asia next year, which is likely to take it to a circulation of 800,000.

V-Power is Shell's higher performance fuel, typically used by premium car drivers and motoring enthusiasts.

Crispin Rogers, global loyalty manager for retail at Shell, said: "Redwood is an international publishing agency that produces award-winning customer automotive magazines [for Land Rover and Volvo], so its qualifications were perfect.

"Shell's technical collaboration with premium brands like Ferrari, Audi, Maserati and Ducati will naturally be highlighted [by the magazine]."
