Seven Squared hired to publish Defra magazine

LONDON - Seven Squared has been appointed by the Department for Environment, Farming and Rural Affairs to publish its staff magazine, Landscape.

The customer publisher won the brief following a three-way pitch that was managed by the Central Office of Information publications team. The 24-page magazine will be published 10 times a year with a circulation of just under 8,000, with the first issue to be published later this month.

Seven Sqauared said its version of Landscape would feature a new design and aims to highlight the department’s future plans.

Trevor Cook, Defra’s head of corporate communications, said: “Landscape is aimed at everyone working in Defra and its agencies, and is one of the many ways in which the department communicates with its staff.”

Seven Squared already publishes titles for a number of public sector organisations, including the Metropolitan Police Service, HRMC and the Training and Development Agency for Schools.
The COI works with government departments and agencies to produce campaigns on a range of issues affecting British citizens.
