Avanti will sell airtime, associated advertising and sponsorship around Setanta coverage of, among others, the English Premier League, Scottish Premier League, FA Cup and England football internationals.

The contract is expected to be worth £8m over three years, with a £1.6m net contribution to Avanti.

Last season, Avanti handled advertising around Setanta's coverage of English Premier League football in pubs and clubs and, following the new deal, will now be responsible for advertising on Setanta channels in pubs and clubs until the end of August 2011.

Simon Rees, Avanti chief executive, said the deal demonstrated its strategy of developing and extending existing client relationships.

"Setanta is a key client and we are delighted to extend and deepen our relationship with them," he said.
