The packages are intended to help charities with very small budgets improve the targeting of mailings and telemarketing. The service includes low cost list cleaning for existing databases as well as tailored lists including details of interests, lifestyle, age and income.
Steve Sellwood, managing director of Selectabase said: “It’s a natural step for us to go from working with small businesses to smaller charities, helping them apply the same principles to their fund raising.”
Smaller charities are less likely to have a full time team in charge of donor lists and databases.
They are also under increasing pressure to operate as efficiently as possible in order to meet environmental and funding obligations.
About a third of charity mailings are thrown straight into the bin according to Nielsen Media Research, yet the charity sector is the third-highest spender on direct mail.
