Second Barclays marketer leaves for Top Up TV

LONDON - Sarah Wise is stepping down as Barclays' marketing communications manager after a decade with the financial services provider.

Second Barclays marketer leaves for Top Up TV

Wise, who will leave her position at Barclays at the end of the month to take up a new role at the pay-TV company, joined the bank as a graduate in 1998. It is thought that she decided to leave Barclays because she wanted to gain experience outside the financial sector.

It is not the first time Barclays has lost a high-ranking marketer to Top Up TV. Jim Hytner, Barclays' former group brand and UK banking marketing director, left the bank to join the pay-TV channel last year.

Top Up TV, which launched in 2003, now offers 22 subscription channels via Freeview, including Setanta Sports.
