This year both the Sterling and the Euro have fallen against the Dollar, inadvertently boosting the UK's appeal as a cost effective inbound destination for North American and European event organisers.

The SECC's is now 25% cheaper than it was two years ago in the international market arena. The new fixed price will mean buyers can take advantage of the devaluation of the Sterling.

"By guaranteeing our prices at the exchange rate for the date of when a contract is signed by the organiser we are able to pass on unparalleled savings and take the risk out of currency fluctuations for our clients," said director of sales Ben Goedegebuure.

The news follows the announcement that the venue has been awarded the highest environmental accreditation by the Green Business Tourism Scheme making it one of the most environmentally aware venues in Europe.
