The SECC appoints three members to its board

The Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) has announced three new appointments to its board and Mike Closier has stepped down as executive deputy chairman.

The news comes as the venue prepares for the new Scottish National Arena opening in 2013, and sees commercial director Peter Duthie, sales director Ben Goedegebuure and finance director Billy McFadyen all appointed as full board members.  

Closier has been with the SECC for nearly 20 years and led the redevelopment of the SECC site, and is now seeking other challenges and opportunities.
