Scottish Widows appoints agency

Scottish Widows has selected direct marketing agency Partners Andrews Aldridge to handle its customer acquisition and retention business, as the financial services company seeks to develop stronger links with its parent, Lloyds TSB.

The agency, which already works on the direct marketing account for Lloyds TSB, will use the bank's customer database to target prospects and manage existing Scottish Widows customers.

The appointment was made by Mike Hoban, Scottish Widows' customer and brand marketing director. In April, Hoban shifted the company's £15m media planning business out of Naked and into Zed Media (Marketing, 12 April).
