
The Scottish Government launched a statutory review of its media planning and buying account last November.
Previous billings put the account's value at up to £80m over a four-year period. However, , the Scottish Government stated: "Given the current economic climate, the level of future advertising expenditure may reduce."
The account, which has been held by MediaCom Scotland since 2004, also includes government agencies such as Visit Scotland, NHS Health, NHS 24, Quality Meat Scotland, Historic Scotland, the Scottish Parliament and the Scottish Blood Transfusion Service.
Feather Brooksbank will take control of the business at the beginning of April.
