The dinner was used to unveil some ambitious expansion plans that will see the venue get a gold-roofed space gallery as part of a refit, which some news outlets are saying will be worth as much as £100m.
Part of the refit will see a SkySpace area, featuring a two-storey gallery on astronomy and cosmology, will house the original Apollo 10 capsule and feature the aforementioned gold roof.
