Save the Children to run Congo campaign through TDA

LONDON - TDA has been appointed by Save the Children to create a direct mail campaign to raise funds for children in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Targeting existing supporters, the campaign will concentrate on the acute humanitarian crisis caused by the republic's five-year long civil war and demonstrate how Save the Children can improve the lives of children caught in the middle of the horror.

Clare Bickerdike, financial product manager at Save the Children, said: "Many thousands of children are at risk in the Democratic Republic of Congo, but the current media focus on the Middle East means people are largely unaware of the situation."

Sarah Don-Bramah, account director at TDA, said: "This is a restricted income appeal for a specific project. The tight parameters have enabled us to create a strong, highly focussed campaign."

Earlier this month Partners Andrews Aldridge was appointed by Save the Children with a brief to acquire new UK donors.

The agency won the task after chemistry pitches, which were led by the pitch team of Phil Andrews, Steve Aldridge and Kate Waters.
