Samsung creates virtual reality ski jump to push Gear VR headset

Samsung is activating its Winter Youth Olympics sponsorship by offering attendees the chance to experience a ski jump through its $99 Gear VR virtual reality headset.

Samsung’s pavilion, in the host resort of Lillehammer in Norway, combines the VR experience with a motion chair and wind machines synced with the VR content.

The Winter Youth Olympics is running from 11 to 21 February.

The Gear VR headset, which is powered by Oculus technology, requires a compatible Samsung phone to work.
