Other confirmed speakers include those from Thomas Reuters, Capita Plus and Goodwood, as well as Chris Hines MBE, Daniel Ritterband and John Steele from Speaker's Corner.

Summit organisers have also revealed the event schedule. The opening plenary is to be chaired by Nadine Deresa and it will focus on global trends in sustainability and look at how the UK compares to overseas markets.

The plenary will include input from Cerespo in Japan as well as the Thailand Conference and Exhibition Bureau.

Following the plenary, sustainability experts from Samsung, Green Shoot Pacific, Goodwood, Vista, Smyle and Positive Impact, among others will take part in a series of practical and interactive ‘gloves off’ table-top sessions, which will provide delegates with tools and ideas that they can apply to their own event businesses.

The afternoon programme will include three presentations that address topics including raising the volume of communication and increasing education in sustainability. Attendees will be able to rotate to attend two of the sessions.

The closing plenary will be led by Samsung's Christabel Sadgrove and Ulrika Mårtensson from Visit Copenhagen. The pair will discuss why sustainability is vital for the corporate planner.

Fiona Pelham, managing director of Sustainable Events and Positive Impact, said: "This year’s brief from our founding partners and sponsors was to bring together not only speakers who could visualise the sustainability landscape ahead, but also experts with real, hands-on knowledge and tools that they could pass on to our delegates.

"We are therefore delighted that the 2015 Summit programme incorporates not only the wealth of experience we have in the UK, but also that from our colleagues in the meetings and events sectors from overseas.  Sharing experiences across the globe, and turning them into real solutions, is what the Summit is all about."

Rick Stainton, co-founder of the Sustainable Events Summit and managing director at Smyle, added: "Over the past three Summits we have seen the depth of knowledge in this sector grow and develop.  Primarily this is because of the willingness of corporate brands, agencies and organisers to share their expertise at events such as the Summit.

"This year we take learnings from the first two years and so take this engagement to a new level with challenging thought-leadership debates as well as sessions on the nitty-gritty of organising a sustainable event."

Delegates are set to include Barclays, Black Tomato, BBCevents, London & Partners, George P Johnson, Banks Sadler, DRP, ExCeL London, Belron, Roche, Sportsworld, GES, Smart Group and Hurlingham Club.
