Sage woos entrepreneurs with its business services package

UK software firm Sage has kicked off an online media push to promote Sage START-UP, its new subscription-based service aimed at entrepreneurs.

The campaign, developed by digital media agency Zed, is targeted at budding entrepreneurs and business owners who are in their first year of operation.

Online ads, including standard banners and MPUs, sponsorships and tenancies, aim to generate awareness and understanding of Sage START-UP, encourage product trials and deliver leads to its web site.

Target media include general interest sites and 'start your own business' sections of internet portals, such as Fish4Jobs and MSN.

Zed planned the campaign to target new and future entrepreneurs at each stage of their decision-making process: pre-planning, when would-be entrepreneurs are looking for inspiration and ideas; start-up, when final plans are being put together and carried out; and post start-up, when business owners are looking for additional business advice.

Sage START-UP aims to help people plan and run their own small business through access to online business management resources, unlimited web, telephone and email support.
