Saatchis Interactive takes QVC and HMV

LONDON - Saatchi & Saatchi Interactive has been handed the digital briefs for HMV and QVC.

Saatchis Interactive takes QVC and HMV

The interactive division of the Charlotte Street agency picked up both pieces of business without a pitch.

It will now handle all of the digital creative duties for the high-street retailer HMV.

QVC, the home shopping channel, has briefed the agency with creating and building a microsite that will be the platform for a nationwide talent contest to find a new presenter to front its programming.

The agency would not comment on the HMV win, but talking about the QVC business, Neil Hughston, the managing director of Saatchi & Saatchi Interactive, said: "We want to create an engaging platform for QVC as it kicks off its search.

"QVC is watched in more than 19 million homes in the UK, so the contest will be a major event, not only for the wannabe presenters, but for viewers wanting to keep up-to-date with developments."

Sajdah Haq, the creative lead at QVC, added: "Saatchi & Saatchi Interactive was an obvious choice for us. We have been impressed by the creativity in its response to our initial brief."
