The agency, which was set up in 2009 by Joanna Greenfield and Lucie Robins, has opened the new base in the city’s Lower East Side. It will help Ruby J Events to work with NBC Universal on projects on both sides of the Atlantic.
Ruby J Events has been working with the American broadcasting company since 2011, when the agency was appointed to work . Since then the agency has organised VIP events for the Premier League games in London for NBC, as well as staging events in Sochi for the 2014 Winter Olympics and this year’s Super Bowl.
Greenfield said: "We’ve seen the London event scene explode over the last 18 months in a response to market uplift. In the corporate arena, this enabled us to extend our reach beyond the London office with more and more direct transatlantic client synergies."
"London and New York business centres have always been close, but in the entertainment world there is a real appetite right now for British business and entrepreneurial spirit in New York. We have been welcomed with open arms and received some really positive feedback from suppliers and clients already, which is so encouraging."
She added Ruby J Events’ price-point in New York has been consciously targeted towards the mid-range market, as the agency looks to accommodate the demand of the US event sector. "However, we will not be compromised on quality, attention to detail and the overall finesse which has become synonymous with our very British brand," Greenfield explained.
"The official launch of the New York office coincides with , which carries the theme of ‘Making it Happen’. It couldn’t be a better time for Lucie and I to put a stake in the ground and celebrate Ruby J Events’ success to date."
Ruby J Events’ UK operations are based in Hertfordshire.
