RSA hands £50 million global account to Starcom

LONDON - Starcom has been awarded the £50 million global media planning and buying account for financial services giant RSA.

The Publicis-owned agency won the business after a final pitch against Interpublic-owned incumbent Universal McCann.

Universal has held the media planning and buying account in the UK, which includes RSA’s online insurance brand More Th>n, since May 2004.

The review process was run by the RSA marketing director Clare Sheikh.

Other agencies involved in the pitch at an earlier stage include Omnicom's OMD, Aegis Media and WPP's Mediaedge:cia.
