RPM delivers Virgin Money brand experience at London Marathon expo

For the sixth consecutive year, agency RPM will be delivering the Virgin Money brand experience at the Virgin Money London Marathon expo until 25 April.

The Virgin Money expo at London's Excel is the first part of the marathon experience, where participants register and collect their race numbers ahead of Sunday’s marathon.

The Virgin Money experience includes entertainment, celebrity speakers, tips and information across two stages.

Participants can visit the ‘Virgin Money Stage’ that will host a range of celebrity speakers daily. Speakers include racer Iwan Thomas, Olympic rower James Cracknell and elite athletes, such as Tatyana McFadden, David Weir, Wilson Kipsang and world record holder Dennis Kimetto.

A second stage, ‘The Experts’ Corner’, will provide an advice hub offering tips about pacing, hydration and nutrition.

Visitors can have their pictures taken at a Virgin Money booth, which will be pegged to a timeline that hangs in the venue. The images will be uploaded to social media and runners can share their stories online using the #extramile hashtag.

RPM’s managing director Dom Robertson said: "We are proud to again be working with Virgin Money on such a special and large scale event. Producing an experience that is the first point of contact for 37,000 runners that provides them with support, information and inspiration ahead of the race is a big responsibility that has to be delivered flawlessly."

RPM also worked with design agency Four23 to deliver the 37,073 sq ft brand experience.
