The organisation is looking to create a roster each for Royal Mail Letters, the Post Office, and for its smaller brands, such as Parcelforce Worldwide and Royal Mail Wholesale. Each roster will last two years, with an option to run for a further two-year spell.
The first roster, for Royal Mail Letters, will contain three design agencies with an experience of business-to-business marketing, with an overall spend of around £8m.
Three branding agencies with experience of high-street banking and in-branch environments will be hired to work on the Post Office brand, which continues its transition to a full financial services player. The roster is worth £6m.
The final £500,000 smaller business unit roster will include two or three agencies able to provide design services, strategic thinking consultancy, copy writing services and digital design services.
Royal Mail's design roster, last reviewed in 2006, currently features Open Agency, Start Creative, Home, Meteorite, Rufus Leonard and True North.
