The dismantling will begin on 8 November after the last events have taken place at the temporary structure.

The Concerto Group is staging the next two events at the venue, but talks to continue after that have faltered.

"Despite a superb effort by fellow creditors to try and deliver this project, I am afraid the numbers just did not add up and sadly we are having to let the venue go", said Concerto Group director Sam Gill.

"Creditors including ourselves, De Boer, Robert Lawrence Productions, Coin St, Fluid, Acclimatise and Igloos were all prepared to keep the show on the road at a minimal cost to ensure the clients weren't let down, but in the end the gap was still too large to bridge."

The two events that have been rescued include a 1,400 person charity event for Remark which will take place on 7 November.

"It would have been a tragedy not to have been able to stage this event and all suppliers are delighted that their efforts have enabled it still to take place", said Gill. "Our focus has now turned to finding new venues for the remaining clients that have been made homeless by the venue's demise".
