Rocket wins £10m ACP-Natmag account

Rocket has won the £10m account for women’s weekly publisher ACP-Natmag, after a pitch against MindShare, ZenithOptimedia and incumbent Initiative.

It will now handle media planning and buying for the magazines Best, celebrity weekly Reveal and recently-launched real-life title Real People.
The media account went up for review following the appointment of Drew Kirkland as publishing director at ACP-Natmag in December last year. The creative account was reviewed at the same time, with incumbent Clemmow Hornby Inge expected to hang on to the work.
ACP-Natmag was launched as a joint venture between The National Magazine Company and Australian Consolidated Press in November 2004. The company is run as a 50:50 partnership. The review is not thought to affect Initiative’s status as the retained media agency for The National Magazine Company.
Rocket is the sister-agency to Omnicom-owned media giant PHD. Last month, it scored another big win in the media industry when it was awarded the £5m media planning and buying work for GCap Media, owner of Capital Radio.
