Simon Kent, director of HIC, said: "BBC Good Food Show Spring was the best opening for a consumer show in the last ten years. Bringing the event to Harrogate has been one of the high points here at the HIC.
"To see the show prove such a success is obviously a fantastic result and we are already working with River Street to make sure next year’s event sees the BBC Good Food Show Spring established as one of the most eagerly anticipated public events in Yorkshire."

The Royal Hall provided the most spectacular backdrop for our live cookery demonstrations and we are looking forward to a bigger and better show next year."
Highlights of the Harrogate three-day show, which attracted more than 15,000 visitors, included new features such as an area dedicated to local producers in the BBC Good Food Bakes & Cakes Village. Demonstrations from chef James Martin, The Great British Bake Off judge Mary Berry and Dave Myers of the Hairy Bikers took place in the 900-seater supertheatre, located in the Royal Hall.
