Mars has launched an estimated £400m media buying review in the UK, Germany, China and four other regions. Mars spends about $1.7bn globally per year on advertising and is the seventh-biggest advertiser in the UK, where it has used Zenith for more than 20 years and spends approximately £90m a year.
HMD Global, the company formed to relaunch Nokia smartphones, has called a global creative pitch. J Walter Thompson won Nokia’s £80m creative account in 2013, the last time the brand called a pitch.
The NSPCC has opened talks with agencies ahead of a potential digital review. It is understood that Leo Burnett, which handles creative work for the children’s charity, would be unaffected if the talks progress to a formal pitch.
