Maplin will sell Wanadoo broadband and narrowband access software in its 85 UK stores. It is understood that the ISP fought off BT to secure the tie-up.
The agreement, which will involve extensive point-of-sale marketing activity within Maplin stores, takes Wanadoo's distribution to more than 4000 retail outlets. Other partners include Argos, Littlewoods, Texaco and Lloydspharmacy.
Wanadoo is conducting an ad campaign following its rebranding from Freeserve.
It is also preparing to advertise its £17.99 broadband product.
