Research Now launches online panel in Ireland

LONDON – Research Now has launched an Irish-only research panel, Irish Opinions, just weeks after launching an Australian panel.

Research Now has recruited 20,000 people living in the Republic of Ireland to take part in online research and plans to grow the panel to 30,000 by the end of the year.

was launched after growing demand from Research Now's clients for online research in Ireland.

Researchers will now be able to add Ireland to pan-European studies, where they previously had to use British panels.

Andrew O'Connell, Research Now client services director, will head the panel and divide his time between London and Ireland.

Irish Opinions follows hot on the heels of Research Now's 60,000 strong online Australian panel, which launched in September.

Andrew Cooper, managing director of Research Now, said: "Launching Research Now's Irish Opinions now means that consumers in a growing economy at the heart of Europe can now be effectively researched online alongside their European counterparts."

According to Internet World Stats, there are now more than 2m internet users in Ireland, representing 51% of the population.

The panel is open to anyone living in Ireland aged 16 and over.
