Renualt launches Cantona TV ad for Laguna

LONDON - Renault is launching a 90-sec television ad for the Laguna hatchback featuring ex-Manchester United player Eric Cantona tonight.

The campaign, which was created by Publicis Conseil, is for the Coupe GT version of the Laguna.

The ad, titled 'The Meeting' is set on a pure white background with Cantona pointing out the selling points of the car such as the sound system, airbags and four-wheel steering apparatus.

According to Renault the campaign will mainly run in late-night viewing slots to target an "upper socio-professional audience". The French car firm said the ad will not be cut down from its current 90-second format.
