Designed to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the brand’s Renault Clio model in the UK, the seven-metre high installation will house the brand’s Clio S Dynamique car, as well as a red velvet swing.
In a nod to Paris’ famous padlocked bridges, the cage will feature thousands of specially designed ‘love locks’.
Twenty-five of the padlocks will unlock French-themed prizes, including a three-night trip for two to Paris, a beauty experience at a UK-based French spa, dinner at Michelin star restaurant Galvin at Windows, and L’Occitane beauty vouchers.
Passers-by will also be encouraged to add their own love locks to the burlesque-themed cage.
Consumers will be invited to share share their photographs of the installation via social media, using the #Clio25 hashtag.
Jeremy Townsend, communications director, Groupe Renault UK said: "This year marks 25 years of the Renault Clio in the UK – a massive milestone. We wanted to take this time to celebrate what makes the Clio sexy and distinct from the ordinary – its Va Va Voom – and what better way to do this than through this unique installation next to one of Britain’s biggest gateways to France.
"The birdcage not only allows people to take in the beauty and practicality of the latest Clio model, but it also gives them the opportunity to experience the brand’s wonderful French heritage and unlock their own Va Va Voom by winning brilliant prizes including a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Paris."
The brand also embarked on throughout February and March, as part of the celebrations.
