Reed takes top honours at AOP awards

LONDON - Reed Business Information came out on top at last night's Association of Online Publishers Awards, while IPC Media showed the strength of its consumer business, winning in three categories.

Reed Business Information won four awards in total, the most for any publisher this year. Building on last year's performance, RBI won the award for Online Publisher - Business for the second year running, and also won awards for Business Website xperthr.co.uk, Online Community for b2b site Farmers Weekly Interactive, and Online Advertising Sales Team - Business.

IPC Media's NME.com won the Editorial Team - Consumer award, and the publisher also won the accolade for Cross Media Project with the WKD Nuts Football Awards. IPC Media was also the first winner of this year's new category, the Research and Insights Project.

BSkyB took two awards, for Online Publisher - Consumer and Website - Consumer for its redeveloped Sky News website.

Newspaper publishers received recognition, with Guardian News and Media winning the Launch award for its Katine project, Sun Mobile winning the Mobile Site award for News Group Newspapers and the Financial Times winning two awards, for Use of Video on ft.com and the Innovation award for the Mockingbird Model initiative.

Other awards went to Incisive media, Future Publishing and Channel 4.
