Dean Martin's Let It Snow! is an incongruous but fitting tune for the soundtrack of the latest work from The Red Cross, in aid of the people of Syria.
The film explains that while much of the world was in a holiday lull, the fighting in Syria didn't stop, and neither did the work of the Red Cross.
Created by Belgian ad agency Duval Guillaume, the work splices terrifying scenes of real-life violence with disturbingly appropriate lyrics from Dean Martin’s 1959 rendition of Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!
The ad directs viewers to a donation page for the Red Cross Flanders in Belgium.
During the past six years, more than 50 Red Cross personnel have been killed in Syria, and the organisation has helped more than 4.5 million people in the area.
