Red Bull to host 24-hour creative experiment for studio's fifth birthday

Red Bull is hosting a range of music focused events, including a 24-hour creative experiment and studio takeover, to mark the fifth birthday of its Red Bull Studios outpost in London.

9 November

Last night saw music duo Disclosure host a 'studio science workshop' that offered attendees a behind-the-scenes look at the processes that take place when recording an album. 

Red Bull handed out 50 free pairs of tickets in the lead up to the event, with winners picked at random.

10 November

The energy drink brand’s Raise the Bar event is targeted at up-and-coming MCs, with individuals invited to listen to a music snippet via the Red Bull Studios website, visit the premises and lay down their version of the track between 4pm and 8pm. 

Renowned producer Zdot, who has worked with artists such as Stomzy and Lady Leshurr, will choose five of the best MCs to feature on his new track.

11 November

Red Bull is offering artists the chance to take over its studios for the day in partnership with music and culture magazine, The 405.

To enter, individuals were required to tweet @The405 between 2-5 November with the hashtag #RedBullStudiosLockIn and a link to their music, and state a reason why they feel they need the space. 

The winning band was selected by The 405 and notified on 5 November. They will be granted access to the space from 9am to 5pm tomorrow (11 November). 

12 November

Red Bull is hosting a 24-hour 'creative experiment' with singer-songwriter Mnek and Studio Moross, where the focus will be on creating new music.

The event will close with a panel discussion that looks at the process and outcome of the experiment. Music industry creatives including Kate Moross will also discuss their work and the power of creative collaboration.

Doors will open at 6.30pm, with the talk to take place from 7pm. 

13 November

The week of celebrations will culminate with a birthday bash at Red Bull Studios. Exact details of the event remain under wraps, however Red Bull has noted it is teaming up with "some of our nearest and dearest studio friends" for the event.

Those interested in attending are advised to visit Red Bull Studios' social channels for updates and ticketing information. 

Red Bull has delivered a range of music experiences this year, including a series of  to celebrate the arrival of the delayed night tube in September, and a  in east London's Hackney back in April.
