Krieglstein, who will oversee UK marketing for Red Bull drinks, brand and sponsorship activities, has been drafted in to the UK business after five years with Red Bull, first at its German office and then as marketing coach at Red Bull's international headquarters in Austria.
It is understood that Krieglstein is analysing the performance of the Simply Cola brand before committing to further marketing spend. However, a Red Bull spokeswoman denied the cola was in danger of being pulled from the market.
The launch of Simply Cola was overseen by Feiler last year; the line was more recently backed by a £1m poster campaign highlighting its natural ingredients. The ads showed a can between two bull-shaped ice sculptures.
Red Bull, sales of which increased 8% in 2008, is planning to expand its X-Fighters freestyle motocross tour event to the UK this summer.
The brand's long-term global creative agency is Kastner & Partners; in the UK, it also works with digital agencies, including AnalogFolk and Less Rain, on a project basis.
Last year, Red Bull's international marketing team briefed digital agency LBi to design and launch Red Bull Racing websites; however, LBi has ruled out working with the company this year, claiming it was 'not a cost-effective client'.
