The UK leg of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship 2016 at Ascot Racecourse will feature a single player PC Game bus, which will allow visitors to play a beta version of 'Red Bull Air Race – The Game', a VR computer game where users are placed in the cockpit of an aerobatic airplane.
The game features many pilots and routes of the 2016 Championship, including the newly integrated course at the Lausitzring in Germany.
The bus will be branded with the PC game visual and located in the activation area.
The experience will allow users to try out the game before its worldwide consumer launch for PCs next week at Gamescom 2016, which will take place from 17-21 August in Cologne. After the launch, the game will be free for consumers to play and download.
Red Bull has already devised a mobile version of the game for fans to compete against players from all over the world to claim real-life prizes and become the 2016 Virtual World Champion.
This weekend will also have a VR simulator ride where users can choose a route to ride, which includes the Ascot track.
Each year the Red Bull Air Race Championship sees 14 pilots compete in the Master Class category in eight races across the globe for the title of 2016 Red Bull Air Race World Champion. The objective is to navigate an aerial racetrack featuring air-filled pylons in the fastest possible time, incurring as few penalties as possible.
The event will once again feature the Challenger Cup, a competition that was introduced in 2014 to enable pilots to work towards acquiring entry into the Master Class of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship.
