The CCTV title sequence pairs an athlete with one of the five Chinese elements - earth, water, metal, wood and fire - before ending on Beijing's Bird's Nest stadium, the venue for tonight's opening ceremony.
The sequence opens with a sprinter coming out of the starting blocks in front of the new CCTV building, home to China's national public TV network.
The sequence then shows a long jumper, a diver, fencers, gymnasts and a basketball player each performing their sport in turn. The five elements are interwoven among each of the athletes as they demonstrate their skills.
CCTV will be covering the Olympic Games across several of its nationwide channels including its dedicated Olympic Channel, broadcasting coverage to 380m households.
In addition to the opening title sequence, Red Bee Media has produced a series of information graphics, including an over-arching design theme for all CCTV's Olympic programmes.
Andy Bryant, director of creative at Red Bee Media, said: "Whilst Red Bee Media is still a relatively new player in China, we have established ourselves quickly and gathered a considerable amount of expertise and a thorough grounding in the complexities of working in China.
"Our designers have embraced the vibrant creative culture of the Chinese market and are helping to transfer skills and expertise, particularly in broadcast design [for CCTV] and information graphics, to the Chinese market."
Since opening a Beijing office in September 2007, Red Bee Media has also created a promotional film for the Beijing Olympic Organising Committee (BOCOG).
