Record labels launch lyrics-inspired clothing range

LONDON - EMI, Warner/Chappell and Chrysalis Music have signed a partnership deal with fashion supplier Webwear to launch a range of clothing inspired by song lyrics.

The collection will initially include t-shirts but will be extended to hoodies, polo shirts, zip-up sweatshirts and jogging bottoms.

Designs will include song lyrics taken from artists represented by all three labels. There will be a retro theme, likely to feature artists such as Blondie, Queen and The Rolling Stones.

Webwear currently supplies highstreet shops including River Island, Jane Norman and Miss Selfriges. It is not yet finalised which stores will carry the new range.
