Rare relaunches Somerfield customer magazine

LONDON - Somerfield is launching a redesigned customer magazine in September, with additional content and a more easily readable style.

Rare Publishing has created the new-look Somerfield Magazine, which is available free to shoppers at all Somerfield stores.

The new magazine builds on previous content and contains features such as recipes for everyday eating and special occasions, real-life stories, celebrity gossip, and horoscopes by Russell Grant, who tells readers what they will be eating each month.

According to Rare, each issue of Somerfield Magazine is read by 2.7m readers and according to research conducted for the title, its readers spend three times more at Somerfield than non-readers.

Hannah Smith, the magazine's editor, said: "This is the biggest shake-up the Somerfield magazine has had for many years. The changes are designed to make more Somerfield shoppers read and value the magazine and inspire more people to shop more frequently at Somerfield."
