The poster carries the words "Hungry? Sick? Begging for a break? Sweet? Fresh? Would you do anything? We suck young blood. We want sweet meats," in large bold lettering.
However, on closer inspection the ads are made up of lyrics from the new song, which has been described by Radiohead lead singer Thom Yorke as being about Hollywood life and features on their upcoming album 'Hail to the Thief'.
The poster carries a phone number to call, 1 866 868 4433, which translates to 1 866 TO THIEF in the alpha-numerical phone code.
The ads are not the only medium the band are using to promote themselves. Radiohead are also launching an internet TV station at www.radiohead.tv. The website is currently live and will be updated throughout the year.
The site will carry footage such as promo videos, live gigs and webcast footage from the studio. It will also carry 30-minute programmes about the band, which are currently being made. Fans are also being invited to send in tapes or video files set to Radiohead tracks, which will be selected by the band, edited together and screened on TV, according to reports.
The first two-minute trailer will go live with the promo video for the release of new single 'There There' on May 10, when the site will launch fully with a 30-minute show.
The album 'Hail to the Thief' goes on sale on June 9 on Parlophone.
