The current Teletext Extra guide, produced by technology company Inview Interactive, has been re-branded Radio Times Extra, with Radio Times content appearing on the EPG.
It is available on 37 different Freeview set-top boxes from 21 different manufacturers.
The new service has full programme listings and synopses for 14 days in advance, as well as Radio Times branding and "picks of the day".
Alex White, BBC Worldwide digital publisher, said: "Radio Times on the Inview TV platform is a great extension of our brand and perfectly complements our magazine, website and mobile application, providing an enriched service for InView's Freeview customers and a major new audience for our advertising partners."
David Thatcher, managing director at Inview Interactive, said: "Inview is the most widely available Freeview EPG.
"Our partnership with Radio Times will bring our viewers unique new features and content and offer our advertisers the chance to work closely with the best-known TV listings brand in the country."
Radio Times branding and content is already found on the Guide Plus EPG owned by Rovi Corporation.
Radio Times' average weekly circulation is 947,131, according to ABC results for the six months to June 2010.
It is only the second time in the past 10 years that the magazine's circulation has fallen below one million.
