
The agency's New York technology director Nick Coronges is joining the London office and will be responsible for leading R/GA's technical vision as well as growing its technological capabilities.
Coronges, who has been at the US office since 2005, most recently served as head of technology for the Nike account.
Prior to working at R/GA, Coronges worked at interactive media company Ecast and Silicon Alley start-up Methodfive, where he developed numerous applications, including a successful commercial music distribution system.
In addition R/GA has promoted Lucio Rufo to design director from associate creative director. He reports to James Temple, executive creative director.
As design director, Ruio will lead the visual design department across accounts and will be tasked with growing the department.
The agency has also appointed its first chief strategy officer, William Charnock. He will be based in the agency's New York office and report to Bob Greenberg.
Charnock joins from JWT New York as director of strategic innovation and co-head of strategic planning. Previously he held director roles at FCB, NY and BBDO, NY and also worked in Ogilvy's London office.
In the newly created role, Charnock will be managing the strategy, planning, and research teams along with the international development of the strategic services group.
Additionally, he will contribute significantly to the development of thought leadership across the agency.
