The appointment was made by Vijay Solanki, the company's new marketing director. It marks the end of the internet company's relationship with Immediate Sales Agency, M&C Saatchi's fast turnaround operation.
The agency has been briefed to work on two projects. The first will be to conduct a brand audit for Lastminute.com to determine the website's future strategy. The second brief will be to develop a consumer campaign.
The company is keen to communicate to consumers that it is more than a travel website. Activity is therefore expected to push a lifestyle positioning by emphasising its theatre, gift and restaurant booking services.
Trevor Robinson, the managing director and creative director of Quiet Storm, said: "Lastminute.com has a very similar philosophy to ours, which means we clicked straight away and it's a great brand to be working on."
The media planning and buying account, handled by PHD, is not thought to be affected by the review.
