Quaestor sets up fieldwork research arm Field Direct

LONDON - Research and marketing strategy company Quaestor has launched a dedicated fieldwork research arm, Field Direct, and appointed senior executive Julie Gibson to run the operation.

Field Direct will be made up of Quaestor's 19 regional managers, eight field staff and a team of 1,200 field interviewers and will operate as an in-house and standalone agency alongside Quaestor.

Gibson, previously a senior field at executive at Quaestor, will lead the Field Direct team and report directly to Anne-Marie McDermott, managing director at Quaestor.

"We are now at a point in our development where we can offer a field-only resource in line with some of our larger peers, while still maintaining a small company service," McDermott said.

Field Direct has already signed five project contracts from Quaestor clients and one new one from DNA Experience.

Quaestor has recently completed projects for Channel 4, Somerfield, Barclays, B&Q and Cadbury UK and Ireland and has expanded its CATI research division by 30% to 65 stations.
