Publisher Time Inc. acquires Invnt

US-based publisher Time Inc. has acquired experiential agency Invnt in a bid to expand upon its live events offering.

A Time Inc. spokesperson told Event: "Invnt will begin to work with Time Inc. stateside, and they will continue to work on the 200+ events they currently produce, including events that take place abroad.

"We envision that their support and guidance will touch our entire stable of brands both domestic and international."

Invnt will continue to operate out of its main offices in New York, as well as from its satellite offices in London, Washington D.C., Detroit, San Francisco and Laguna Beach.

It will similarly retain its company name and clients, which include , Intel, PepsiCo, General Motors and Subway.

In the past, the agency has worked on experiences including the Cadillac V-Series Media Drives, Intel Developer Forum and PCNA (PepsiCo) Bottler event.

Together the two companies produce more than 575 consumer and B2B events each year. Time Inc. most recently delivered .

Scott Cullather, the founder and global managing partner of Invnt, will continue to head up the company, and he will report into Mark Ford, the executive vice president, global advertising at Time Inc.

Cullather said: "Our goal is to create deeper connections between advertising partners and consumers.

"We are excited about the tremendous opportunities our company will have working with the iconic Time Inc. brands and the people behind them."

Ford added: "Invnt is a creative powerhouse. They understand consumers, marketers and how to create stellar live media events. By combining Invnt’s resources and Time Inc.’s iconic brands, we will be able to leverage our existing live media offerings and create new media platforms for our marketing partners."  

Time Inc. also recently acquired UK Cycling Events (UKCE), which delivers cycling events throughout the country, as well as sports, entertainment and lifestyle network Fansided and technology company Cozi.
