They now only await the approval of Bcom3 shareholders before the two companies can merge. The outcome of the shareholder vote will be known around September 20 and the two will close the deal immediately after that.
The merger of Publicis and Bcom3 will create the world's fourth-largest advertising group, and will bring agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi, Publicis, Leo Burnett and D'Arcy under the same umbrella.
Japanese advertising group Dentsu will also take a stake in the merged company. The companies first announced plans to merge on March 7 this year, a move that has been widely lauded by industry commentators.
Following the announcement in March, Publicis Groupe chairman and CEO Maurice Levy has said he will step down from his role as head of the Publicis Worldwide advertising network.
